Birthday...My birthday was one of the best days of my life; and the best birthday I'd had till date.

Manchester United v Liverpool Match...Well, for the first time I have watched a football match in a sports lounge. I'd been to watch this match with my BFF, Anurag, and it was a great experience. Though I am an Arsenal supporter, I thoroughly enjoyed the match. The atmosphere was super crazy, and...just loved everything. The best was 'Who the f*** is Manchester United?' song.

India's Performance in World Cup...7 consecutive wins? You gotta be kidding me!

Driving Test Successful...Finally, all those snapchats were fruitful! I passed my driving test yesterday, and I'm soooo proud!

Semi Finals at a Mall...I had watched the Australia v India World Cup Semifinal at a mall nearby. Though we lost, the atmosphere was great. I had been there with a girl who wasn't even my classmate at school. When I shifted to a different school, she came to my old one, and we had never met or knew each other. But for the match, we went there together! How funny life can be?

Outfit Posts...I shared my two outfits on TPCG successfully and I'm looking forward to so many more. Check them out here:

Birthday Gifts...I loved all my birthday gifts.

21 Summer Activities Post...It took me so long to edit the image and write the post. I love such posts and I'm glad they get superb response.

Birthday Special Posts...There were around 7 posts related to celebration and birthday. You can say that it was like my Birthday Week on TPCG.

HTC Desire 820...How superb can an Android device get? My HTC is a beauty.

Holi! Holi is always a colourful and fun festival!

Shopping...Okay, weird, but I purchased around nine tops this March. Along with that, I purchased many items! I hope I'm not turning into a shopaholic.

Sun Care...I'm loving how I'm always applying sunscreen before stepping out. I also apply it on my arms, which is shocking!

Streetwear Gift Set...This is my first makeup set. I mean, I had never purchased a set with such miscellaneous makeup products before.

Turning 21...The best is saved for the last! I'm 21. Yay!!

Hey there! I have used this hard disk cover in a very funny way!

I had this Sony's hard disk when I was a kid. The hard disk got damaged, and my dad threw it. Now, there's just this outer part/cover left of that hard disk, and it was lying in my cupboard for a very long time.

Remember those papers I keep on my computer table? There were index cards kept there too. As my exams are approaching, I thought I needed a solid way to hold my index cards. I came across this leftover, and thought that it could be a great box to hold my index cards.

I have kept few homemade index cards inside the extremely slim box. As it is silver, it looks stylish too. It is even lightweight, so the problem of weight is avoided here.
Plus it is Vaio, so it looks cool anyway.

Where do you store your index cards?

Here's another DIY for you guys. My BFF, Pournami, is just like me, especially  when it comes to liking stationary and the DIY projects.

She lives in a hostel, and so having notice boards and to-do boards is must. She made a colourful Notice Board to pin her stuff on it.

She had sent me the below image in April 2014. I had saved it for my blog's emergency. As I was studying right now, I did not have time to think for a long topic. So I opened my OneNote, and I got this topic from there.

(Sorry for the bad quality.)
Okay so she has taken her journal's cover, and has stuck a chart paper over it. She has drawn slanting lines, and then has coloured those lines with crayons. You can also use pencil colours!
She has later drawn stars in different sizes. And then, she has written 'My Notice Board' on the paper. Finally, she has stuck the paper on the wall.

And then, she used her sticky-notes for small reminders, and pinned papers for larger reminders!

That's it. Goodnight, my lovelies.

I regret that I didn't do this. There are a lot of tips people would give you about the course Bachelors of Mass Media (BMM). Even I had shared various tips related to BMM earlier. But hands down, no tip can beat this one.

If you are in the first year of BMM, you still have time. But if you're in SY, I'm sorry, but the clock's running! (Unless you want to skip lectures and follow this tip!)

So, I am in my last year, rather, last semester of this course, and I awfully regret to not have followed this tip myself. Call it your senior's experience, but yes, the greatest of all the tips is, of course, INTERNSHIPS.

If you think that you'll do great without them, then, hey! You're wrong.

I'm a lazy person when it comes to internships. I had interned once, for a period of three months, at a company selling online lectures; I was the content and the creative writer there, and I absolutely loved my job, until one day, when things started going absurd; the management was handed over to another guy, and the seriousness and the weight of the workload became heavier. Maybe, just maybe, that was the reason I thought of not interning anywhere after this.

But, I'm lucky that I got the lessons of the work-culture right in my first job/internship. If you ask me, I would highly recommend you guys to go for internships. The best time is now, summer vacation, or maybe, Diwali vacation.
Lot of your friends might be interning somewhere, and you might be thinking that their marks are getting affected due to internships, but no; if you work for a quarter (three months) in the vacations, you will absolutely rock your marksheet plus your resume too!

If you can't travel by local trains in summer (for Mumbaikars), you have no choice, honey. I wish there was someone to guide me through BMM. Just slather sunscreen, carry water, cover your face, wear light-coloured clothes, and just go! Go to your office, and work. You gotta do it! Come what may!

I feel sometimes, that in spite of having so much of potential and experience in the writing field, I still have so less to flaunt in my resume. (Of course I have my blog plus other outstanding academical activities, but just two internship/job appointment letters.) If you're like me and you too feel that you have potential in certain field and would surely get a job anywhere you would apply, then do it right away!  Go and apply for internships right now...to all the FY and SY students, now is the time.

Apart from what you learn over there and the experience, internships are fun. They're funner if you're getting paid! So just forget about how hot it is outside, or how you wanted to enjoy your summer vacations, and start applying right away.
If you want sites to apply for internships, do comment below; I'll tell you where all to look for internship offers.

Thank you; and I hope I was of some help. Good evening, y'all! See you tomorrow!
Lots of love!

OMG! You guys have to check (and make) this DIY project. My BFF, Mrudula, had sent this to me in November 2014, and I'm posting this today. As always, I was waiting for better pictures, but eventually, we both forgot.

Sorry for the bad quality!

She's used graph-paper, thermocol pieces, tinted sheets and pieces, sketchpens, cello-tapes, glue, push-pins, and other decorative things in order to make this gorgeous and brilliant board.

Steps:
  1. Take a graph-paper.
  2. Stick full length tinted sheets on it.
  3. Stick pieces of tinted sheets.
  4. Stick pieces of thermocol. You can also cut shapes of thermocol and stick on the graph-paper.
  5. Use fancy erasers, which have bad erasing quality, as decorative items.
  6. Use sketchpens to write motivational sayings on the graph-paper. You can also divide the tinted sheets as per different things. For example, she has written 'AIMS' besides a tinted sheet, which indicates that the sheet she is pointing is reserved for her aims.
  7. Pin your immediate to-dos on the thermocol pieces which act like your cork-board/notice-board.
  8. Finally, stick your graph paper (to-do board) on the wall using glue. She has used Fevicol Mr. Easy Flow for sticking it.

Okay, so if you expect me to write anything related to today's semi-finals, then you're wrong. I better leave that niche to some other writers who can do it better.

Regarding today's topic, my exams are starting from the 16th of April. Before that, we might have our prelims. Though I always start studying a week before the exams, I am sure that the prelims' timetable would be out soon. So I should start with my studies now.

I think I've had enough fun. I've celebrated many birthdays, and it seems that I'm enjoying every day. (You would know that if you are following me on my personal account on Instagram!) It is high time that I start studying. For the lazy girl that I am, I have made a plan: Just like I can donate hours of my day in writing blog, sleeping, lazing around, I can donate at least one hour, every day, for studying.

The deal is simple; I can divide that one hour however I want. I can talk and study, I can have food and study, I can study half-hour in noon and half-hour in the evening...or simply anyhow. The target is to study at least one hour every day.

I might start studying from today itself. This style will help me know the portion. I might also be able to study all the six subjects, which are extremely tough. The basic aim of this style is to know what's in there!

So if you're the last-minute student like me, this tip is great. It is better to know a little of your portion, than to know nothing at all. So, reduce all your leisure activities by 10-10 minutes, and donate an hour every day for better results.

My BFF, Rutuja, had gifted me a set of colourful inked pens along with many other gifts in the Assorted Gift Basket. Earlier, I had a set of fine liners by Stic, but their inks don't last that long. Most of the liners, I had to throw eventually due to the dried up inks in them. There are hardly five pens remaining out of the 20.

But ball-point colourful pens are super-cool, as they work for ever; their inks don't dry.

She purchased this packet of 10 pens for Rs. 70. (The pink coloured pen is in my mom's purse!) I guess it is a great deal.
We can use these pens on agendas, calendars, self-notes, college notes, or simply for writing to-dos and other lists.

They're great for adding some fun while studying. If you're bored of using blue or black pens, I'm sure the coloured inks will help you!

So invest in a packet of such pretties for a fun-filled study-time!

There are so many students who are done with their exams and are looking for some interesting activities to add fun in this extremely hot and boring vacation. Though my batch-mates and I still haven't got done with our exams, this post is for all those wanting for some fun.

Okay, so summer activities basically include all the water-related things. It's definitely going to help you get rid of the heat for some time, and also be helpful towards your momma.

So what are those activities?

One. Wash your clothes // If you're living in a hostel, you should probably go and wash the dirty heap of clothes. Also, if you're living with your parents, I'm sure there might be some light-coloured clothes kept in your bathroom to be washed with hands, as machine-wash is simply risky for them. Go ahead and wash those light-coloured and delicate clothes. Guys, your football jerseys, too, need some good washing. So don't hesitate and wash them now; help your mom.

Two. Wash your bags // If you are bored of your bags, it is probably because they don't appear fresh and new. It's high time that you wash off the dirt, and flaunt your bag this summer. Also, most of your bright coloured bags tend to get dirty soon; wash them before you head for a day-out or a swim in a beach or pool with your best friends.

Three. Wash your shoes // As it is summer, you won't need shoes and boots. So wash your flip-flops and flats and bellies. We generally use the flip-flops too hastily, and it is time you wash those pretties; after all, they're the ones who are there with you throughout the summer.

Four. Wash your belts // As the belts go inside the t-shirts, we ignore them. But you need to get up and wash your belts...or they might protest and you would have your pants slip down! Avoid the embarrassing laughter, and wash the belts.

Five. Have a self-pampering shower // Due to final exams or hectic routine, we often wash  our bodies pretty quickly. We tend to ignore the body parts like neck, elbows, knees, feet, knuckles, etc. So why don't you go in the shower and spend a good hour on rinsing your body completely?

Six. Join Swimming // May it be just a new stroke that you don't know, or may it be  just 'casual', join swimming. It is going to add a total refreshment to your dull vacation. And if your society has a swimming pool, then viola!

Seven. Clean bathroom and toilet // Help your mom with cleaning these two water-based units. Cleaning bathroom is a total fun, I promise you!

Eight. Do the dishes // If your maid takes a sudden leave, you can do the dishes. Put the fan on its maximum speed, turn on the music, and wash the dishes; it is the best summer activity so far.

Nine. Wash your vehicles // Though somebody else washes the vehicles for you, washing them yourself is better. The man assigned for washing might just do it for the sake of doing, but if you do, you're going to make sure every inch of your vehicle is clean.

Ten. Sweep the floors // When I was little, my brother and I used to sweep floors once in every summer vacation. Instead of washing them professionally, we used to pour some water on the floor, and well, SLIDE. My brother and I used to love this.

Eleven. Clean the veranda and/or stairs // If you're living in a bungalow, you're sure to have some empty space as your veranda. So wash out the veranda! You can also clean the stairs near your door, or that of your bungalow.

Twelve. Gardening // One day, in the evening or in the morning, just go down, and water all the plants in your society. You can take the pipe from the gardener and help him one day. The smell of the earth is surely going to refresh you, and it's a water-based activity, therefore, it is going to be a cool one.

Thirteen. Make water bubbles // My brother and I used to sit in our balconies, and blow bubbles made out of water and soap. All you need is water, soap, and paper.

Fourteen. Play water-Holi // Take your little cousin's water-gun and spray water on each other on terrace or at home. But don't forget to clean the house later!

Fifteen. Hit the beach // Going swimming pool and beach are two different things. Going to the beach allows you to eat bhel, swim, play Frisbee, or better yet, take selfies.

Sixteen. Go on a vacation at a cool place // Go on a trip to the mountains where there is cold throughout the year. For Indians, you can go to J&K and enjoy! Oh dear! I want to go there, right NOW!

Seventeen. Make lemonade and store it // You can make lemonade or other juices and store them in refrigerator. They're great when you are thirsty, dehydrated, and need energy. You can similarly make kokum serbat and give it to the guests or your parents.

Eighteen. Wash your pets // Wash your pets. It is going to be fun as they wag their tails and make you wet along with them!

Nineteen. Have ice cream // You can either have or make ice cream at home. Either way, you're going to love it.

Twenty. Wash Kitchen Platform // Another fun way to bring in the cool is to wash the kitchen platform. You have to simply pour water everywhere, and then clean with a cloth or a mop.

Twenty One. Go to water resort // This is a real fun activity. Going out to water resorts with family or friends is a way you can enjoy summer and also spend some really great time with your dearies. Watch: What to pack to a water park

What are your plans this summer?

Hey! It was Gudhi Padva yesterday. Gudhi Padva is the Maharashtrian New Year. The month of 'Chaitra' begins from this day.

I had never posted an outfit post on TPCG, but now this won't happen. There will be lot of such posts on the blog henceforth.

On Gudhi Padva, every year, there's a parade of Maharashtrian cultured people and different props. There are girls playing lezim, there's a little boy dressed as Shivaji Maharaj, there are kolis dancing, and also there are other important things of my city. My building friends and I go down to watch this parade every year, after erecting the Gudhi at our own places. We dress in Indian attires and go down to watch the parade. It's fun, and definitely a must watch.
Mostly, every year, I miss the initial ten minutes of the parade; even this year, I missed them.
There are women dancing, beautifully dressed in sarees and the nose rings, known as naths. Men are seen in kurtas and saffron coloured headgear known as phetas. And also, seen in the recent years, there are young boys clicking pictures of the parade with their expensive DSLR cameras. Also, there are reporters covering the event.
In all, it's a jolly time.

For this, I had worn a Kerala styled dress, which is commonly available in the market. Lot of girls wear this style of dress.
My maternal aunt had given me this dress material, and I had sewed a dress out of it. This dress is even dearer to me as she passed away few years back, and she had given me this material just few months before her death.

Hey, it's 11:00, and I have started writing the post pretty late today. I had gone out with my dad for buying stuff for tomorrow's Gudhi Padva; while my mom was preparing amrakhand (and ambyachya vadya) at home.

I was almost not going to write today, but then realized that tomorrow again I might not be able to write. So here I am on TPCG. My 'To Post' guide has definitely helped me for today's topic.

My BFF had sent me this image in November 2014, but I had asked her a better quality image than this one. She didn't have her camera, and so eventually we forgot about it.

But now after taking my dad's HTC, and deleting unwanted pictures from its gallery, I came across these erasers (and another post idea, which I shall post soon). I immediately wrote it down on my OneNote, and today it did help me.

So I am writing the blog on my tablet-laptop, with lights off, and for the first time, I am having no trouble in typing without lights.

Anyway, coming to the topic, these erasers are so cute! Though we (BMMites) don't use eraser that often, for other students like architecture, engineering, accounts, fine arts, etc., erasers are commonly used.
Invest in a cute eraser, and yes, don't compromise on its quality. You will surely get a cute plus good eraser. With increase in preppy products in market, erasers are no exception.

So go ahead and buy these erasers to add a splash of fun while you study!

Goodnight! Have a great sleep, all of you! x

This is the third and the last one amongst the other three cards I received on my birthday. Check the first one here, and the second one here. I have a set of school-time BFFs. We are five, and since school days we call each other Trollz. We took this name from a cartoon named Trollz, where there are five girls as the lead. I remember how we had taken the name! I miss my school days terribly.

Ha ha! How cute is the card?

As we are a group of five BFFs, they stuck five school girls here. I loved their frocks! They're so cute!

This is how the card looks like after opening.

They have stuck hearts and other images here.

They have also stuck a photo of me!

They also stuck little messages, which is a cool idea.

And finally! This! I loved this. They have made it in TPCG's theme.

Goodnight, guys.

Hey! I've started writing the blog pretty late today...started at 10:15. Among the three other handmade greeting cards that I had got, this one is the second. You can check out the first greeting card here.

My junior college best friends gifted me this along with a yummy cake. I love handmade cards, and seeing them always gives me different ideas.

This is an overview.

They have folded the tinted card and have given a flap-style to it.

I loved the polka dots; more than polka dots, I loved the arrows!

They have stuck another pink coloured tinted sheet in between, and then have written the birthday message on it.

Tada! I hope you got an idea after this card. Goodnight! x

Well, among the other 'To Post's, the Huge Glasses post falls under the birthday/celebration category too. While my birthday celebrations were on, I had noticed many things, and had taken a note of them on my OneNote. That's exactly why you're seeing so many birthday or celebration related posts on TPCG currently.

I had mentioned it on the Finally 21 post about how my BFF had got a plastic hat and a pair of huge glasses. I had also mentioned how I'd loved the idea of bringing these celebratory add-ons.

Just look how huge they are! They're bigger than my face.

My BFF takes the hat and the glasses for every such surprise, clicks photo with the person having their birthday, and then takes the hat and glasses back home. I loved this idea. You can either gift these plastic stuff or carry them as an additional decoration...both the ways are nice.

So all of you, who haven't worn such pairs of glasses or have never seen them, or have no clue about where you would find them, let me help you. You can get these crazy head and eye gears in cake shops or other gift shops. I don't think they cost that high. They're affordable, and are lovely.

Lots of love.

Alright, so when suddenly a birthday boy or a girl comes home, and you don't have a birthday cake, what do you do? There are quite a few options that can be, no doubt, the best replacements for a birthday cake.

Many times, we have a chocolate muffin, mava cake, slice cake, or something similar at home. When the birthday-person comes home impromptu, you can give him few of the pieces that are left, put a birthday candle, and ask the person to blow it while you sing a birthday song.

This post is an extension of the post Collect Birthday Candles & the Like. If you have these cakes or pastries, along with the candles, then trust me, the birthday-person would love it!

Also, if you're meeting a birthday-person, and he doesn't have any grand plans, and also it's month end and you don't have much money with you, you can simply buy a cute pastry in the person's favourite flavour, carry a candle and a matchbox, and you'll just rock it.

Another idea is having two slices of bread and a sweet-spread, like a fruit jam, chocolate-spread, caramel-spread, etc. All you have to do is make a sandwich out of the sweet-spread, pierce a candle, and ask the person to blow it!!

If you have any sort of sweet like pedha or some other Indian sweet, you can use the similar trick.
Also, if you have waffles or anything that is sweet in taste, you can use that too.

Oh! And cream biscuits are a great replacement too! For my BFF's 19th birthday, we had kept four chocolate cream biscuits on top of each other, and had erected a candle besides it on the table. It was a great idea. As those days, the pocket money used to be less, we used to have less money with us. Hence buying pastries or cakes used to be a big deal.

So these are my really quick ideas to turn anything sweet into a birthday cake. What are yours?

xoxo
