best cheese balls recipe

The Best Cheese Balls Recipe is easy to make and serves as a savoury, cheesy side dish. It also makes as a perfect part of your menu to serve when guests are home.

The recipe can also be made using Indian spices such as red chilli powder, turmeric, cumin seeds, etc. And instead of using processed cheese, you can go for mozzarella cheese, especially if you love the cheesy strings. Another ingredient is adding boiled corn to turn the recipe into corn cheese balls. If you want something innovative, you can change the shape while moulding, and instead of balls, can make mozzarella sticks, which taste equally good.

I just couldn't stop myself from eating more of The Best Cheese Balls Recipe as its savoury flavour and cheesiness drove me crazy. Personally for me, the combination of melted cheese and boiled potatoes suited my tastebuds so well.

Chocolate Tart Without Oven Recipe

The Chocolate Tart Without Oven Recipe is super easy. It has a rich flavour of chocolate and tastes like a chocolate pastry from some high-end cake shop.

The original recipe is made using Oreo biscuits, however, I am not a fan of Oreos and I preferred going with an alternative. I made the tart using Oreo biscuits as well as its alternative, and personally for my liking, I liked the non-Oreo tart more. But then again, it's personal preference. All you need for making this recipe is a chocolate slab, butter, biscuits, and whipping cream.

The Chocolate Tart Without Oven Recipe is no doubt my favourite dessert recipes, after the yummy chocolate brownie recipe, of course. The tart recipe just needs a stove, mixer, and refrigerator.

CHOCOLATE TART WITHOUT OVEN RECIPE

INGREDIENTS
For biscuit crust

20 Oreo biscuits (I recommend Bournvita biscuits over Oreos)
75gm butter, melted

For chocolate filling
1 cup whipped cream
1 cup chocolate, roughly chopped
25gm butter

PROCEDURE
For making the biscuit crust

Chocolate Tart Without Oven Recipe

1. To start making the biscuit crust for the Chocolate Tart Without Oven Recipe, grind biscuits in a mixer/food processor until they're finely ground.
(If you're using Oreo biscuits, then add the creamy fillings too in the mixer.)
2. In a tart pan or any vessel with edges, transfer the powdered biscuits. Add 75 gm of melted butter and mix until the crust is tight, smooth, and moist.
(I used Brittania butter which already had salt in it.)
3. Spread the crust along the edges of the vessel and on the bottom. The thickness should be even on all the sides.
4. Refrigerate the crust for 30 minutes until you make the chocolate filling for Chocolate Tart Without Oven Recipe.

For chocolate filling
5. To make the chocolate filling for the Chocolate Tart Without Oven Recipe, in a preferably glass bowl (or any heatproof vessel), place the roughly chopped chocolate. Keep aside.
6. In a pan, boil 25gm of butter along with a cup of whipped cream.
7. After the boil, turn off the gas, and pour this butter-whipped cream mixture on top of the chocolate. Wait for five minutes or until the chocolate melts.
(If the chocolate doesn't melt completely, microwave/heat the bowl for additional seconds to melt the chocolate completely. You should get a smooth, ganache-like consistency.)

8. Once the chocolate is melted, take out the crust from the refrigerator. The crust should be solid by then.
9. Pour the chocolate filling on top of the crust. Make sure the chocolate filling aligns the crust.
10. Refrigerate for four hours or overnight.

11. Once the Chocolate Tart Without Oven is ready, dust some cocoa powder or ground sugar on top. You can even sprinkle some chocolate-chips or walnuts on top. Enjoy!

spicy misal recipe

The Spicy Misal Recipe is a fabulous alternative for the street-style misal pav. Its tangy and spicy flavour is a delightful experience for spicy food lovers.

Misal Pav is a popular dish found in Maharashtra. It is eaten as a breakfast item or as a midday snack. Most Maharashtrian households even make it for lunch or dinner. Misal, literally translated to English, means a mixture. Its made using sprouted moth beans and a spicy curry (known as tarri) of onions, tomatoes, ginger, and garlic.

The Spicy Misal Recipe is topped with finely chopped onions, tomatoes, farsaan, coriander, and lemon juice. It's one of the most loved recipes in Maharashtra and is found across the state in restaurants, roadside dhabas, and even hamlets.

There are more than five misal recipes belonging to different cities/regions of Maharashtra, and each recipe is a must try.

5. In the same large wok, take 3/4 cup oil. Once the oil is heated, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Once the splattering is reduced, add asafoetida, turmeric and red chilli powder.
6. Fry chopped onions and tomatoes and add onion-garlic masala.
(Onion-garlic masala can be found in stores. It's quite an essential ingredient for making this Spicy Misal Recipe. If you can't find it, search for misal masala in stores or online.)

7. Add the onion-tomato paste and let it cook until the oil surfaces.
8. Add tamarind and its water.
(To make tamarind water, soak tamarind in hot water for fifteen minutes or until the tamarind is soft and mushy.)

9. Peel the potatoes and chop them into small pieces.
(Most roadside dhabas don't have potatoes in their Spicy Misal Recipe, but I love them in mine.)
10. Add sprouted moth beans along with chopped potatoes. Stir well.
11. Add water and let it boil.
(Misal is a thin curry, so add good amount of water.)
12. Check for taste and add more salt, red chilli powder, onion-garlic masala, and tamarind if required. Give a nice boil or until the flavour is evenly spread and the oil (masala foam) is surfaced on the top.

13. Serve Spicy Misal Pav in a bowl or a deep plate and top it up with finely chopped onions, tomatoes, farsaan, and coriander leaves. With misal, you can have pav (aka bread bun/roll) or bread slices, however you wish. Some people even prefer adding curd on top if the misal is too spicy.
