How I Stay Organized Using My Planner

by - March 11, 2016

I feel so good when people around me ask to see my agenda. They flip through the pages and the one thing they comment is, "Wow! You're so organized!"

My planner has been my #1 aid for staying organized, followed by the long list notepad. If you want to stay organized, you'll definitely need these important tools.
The reason why I update and maintain the planner is the functionality and the fact that I had designed it according to my own needs. The second reason, and the more important one is that it is lightweight. No matter how heavy my bag has gotten, I have never kept this agenda aside. I have carried it everyday to college for three months now.

I'll share the pictures from my agenda and explain you how you too can stay organized in your life.

REMEMBERING IMPORTANT DATES
Wishing your friends and family on their special days is one of the aspects of being organized. By following this pattern, you remember the dates of all the important events in your life. You can plan and write a birthday surprise schedule accordingly.

USING NOTES AND TO-DOS
These pages weren't just provided in your agenda because the designer had nothing else to fill the space. They are few of the highly needed pages to stay organized.
As soon as you come with a plan, a task, or a thing to be reminded about, you can come to these pages and make a note about it. I use these pages when I'm not home. If I need to make a list, I always write on my to-do list notepad, which is in my keyboard drawer.
For effectively using the lists, put a square before each item. As soon as you're done, just check the square and strike off the whole item. I usually strike off as well as check the square.
These lists will motivate you to complete your tasks and be well-prepared all the time.

USE STICKERS OR OTHER INDICATORS
I had put these stickers on sale. I use them to denote different aspects of my life. The stickers have been helpful in highlighting important events or just recording them. For example, the SPECIAL EVENT sticker reminds me about the event, whereas the NEW sticker implies I had purchased something that day, which is an electronic gadget or a machine, may be.
You can use the stickers or simply write down different aspects using the colour-code system, which I had used last to last year.

KNOWING ABOUT THE WHOLE YEAR
What if you could glance over the whole year? These yearly views keep you updated for the whole year--the months passed, the ongoing month, and the future months. You can write holidays, exams, birthdays, etc. under each monthly column.

GLANCING AT THE MONTHLY VIEW
Just like you can glance over the yearly view, you can on the monthly view too. Monthly views are like your calendars. You can either write the tasks/events or put a star mark to denote them.

STAYING ORGANIZED ON A DAILY BASIS
I use this the most for staying organized. Before going to bed, I check my weekly views to know what's happening in the week. If there's anything to be done tomorrow, I quickly write the task on the next day's box. I also write birthdays or reminders like 'Return Friend's Notes', 'Exchange Jeans', etc.
I also put stickers to remind me about different tasks.
