Bourjois Paris Beautify Me and Comfort Me Shower Gels Review
For a period of three months, my dad was in Sharjah for work. Before coming back, he'd sent me photos of such toiletries from a discount booklet he'd received from a mall nearby to his place there. Just after seeing the photo of this pack of Shower Gels, I immediately asked him to buy. There were some other things I'd asked him to buy too, and I'll upload the haul in few days.
I'd asked him to get a different set of shower gels actually, which consisted of Refresh Me and Beautify Me gels. I wanted the Refresh Me as I prefer gel based shower gels than cream based ones. However, my dad didn't know that there was any such difference. He went ahead and picked this set from Sharjah Co-op. I got it for AED 12.95, which means for Rs. 237.
BOURJOIS PARIS BEAUTIFY ME!
I'm not a fan of cream based shower gels, as I feel too sticky while bathing, especially if I'm showering with hot or warm water. But, fortunately or unfortunately, I got this one, so I'm gonna use it, needless to say.
PACKAGING OF BOTH
Honestly, I have never tried a Bourjois Paris shower gel. I purchased it seeing the extremely cute packaging. I loved the fonts on it, I loved the shape of the bottle, and that golden ball up there is so cute! It's a pleasure to see this bottle in the shower!
FRAGRANCE
The fragrance is the typical girly and floral one. It definitely spreads in the shower while bathing, and after six to seven hours, if you sniff your body, you'll get a light note of fragrance.
DOES IT DO WHAT IT CLAIMS
It claims to give a radiant and silky skin, which is partially true. Just after using this, you'll see that the skin is left smooth and glowing. However, after some time, you won't necessarily see the glow, but the skin does remain soft. Now here, by soft, I don't mean moisturised. The skin feels stretched and pulled out, but you'll definitely find it fresh.
BOURJOIS PARIS COMFORT ME!
Honestly, after reading the 'Balm' on the bottle, I'd thought it to be a moisturiser. I'd believed myself so much, that I'd even applied it as a moisturiser on my arms! This one is again a cream based shower gel, and I'll use it too.
FRAGRANCE
The fragrance is strong, as when I'd opened the lid to apply, my mom could smell it immediately. She even asked what I was applying. The smell is like that of some powder. After few hours, if I sniff my body, I can still get a note of the fragrance.
DOES IT DO WHAT IT CLAIMS
No, it doesn't. The shower balm is meant for dry skin and even though I have a normal skin, it still could not moisturise my skin. On top of that, the current weather is not dry. The bottle claims to provide 24 hours nourishment, but I feel the nourishment could not even last for 24 minutes.
