Chocochip Cookies

by - June 16, 2015

Hello! I baked chocochip cookies some three days back. I made them for my BFF, as it was his birthday on the 15th. Here's the recipe:

Preparation Time: 20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 20 Minutes for one round
Makes: 36 plus
Veg/Non-Veg: Non-Veg (Contains Egg)

 Ingredients:

  • Maida - 2 1/2 Cups
  • Eggs - 2
  • Vanilla Essence- 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - 3/4 Teaspoon
  • Baking Soda - 1 Teaspoon
  • Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips - 1/8 Cup
  • Sugar - 1 1/2 Cups
  • Honey - 2 Tablespoons
  • Unsalted Butter - 1 1/4 Cups
  • Cocoa Powder - 2 Tablespoons

Special Utensils Required:

  • Sieve
  • Baking Tray
  • Egg Beater

Steps:

1. Sift maida and baking soda. Keep aside.

2. In a large vessel, add butter, powdered sugar, and honey. Beat.

You might find it hard to beat the buttery mixture. For this, I kept the vessel on a low flame and melted the mixture.

3. Keep the mixture in fridge for a while, as the next step is to add eggs.
4. After the mixture comes down to the room temperature, add eggs and vanilla essence. Beat.
5. Add maida-soda mixture and cocoa powder. Mix.
6. Add chocolate chips. Mix.

7. Preheat the oven at 190 degrees C.
8. Grease the baking tray with butter.
9. Make little flattened balls out of the batter, while keeping a distance of 2 inches in between each one of them.
10. Decorate the top with more chocolate chips.
11. After the preheat process, bake cookies on 190 degrees C for 20 minutes.
12. Repeat the steps 9-11 for the remaining batter too.
13. This quantity makes 36 cookies, so enjoy! Your tea-time just got better.

P.S. The cookies tasted like any other simple baked cookies. They did not taste like chocolate cookies, so beware!
