Diwali - Padwa

by - November 19, 2015

In Maharashtra, we celebrate Padwa as a day when the wives scrub the bodies of their husbands with oil and utna powder, bathe them, and then in the evening, conduct pooja and in return get gifts!

This day has nothing to do with unmarried people, yet we enjoyed. My cousins, their grandfather, uncle, and aunt had come home, as it was my cousin brother's birthday. The married people carried out the pooja ceremony, and then my cousin cut the cake. We later went to a restaurant for dinner, and reached their home after 12:00 am.

My cousin sister, me, and brother.
