Diwali - Bhaubeej
On 13th, we left for Kolhapur, which was the day of Bhaubeej. On Bhaubeej, sisters rotate a plate of diya and rice (which I call as conducting a pooja, here on TPCG) in front of their brothers. In exchange, brothers gift something to their sisters. As a token of love, we sisters too gift them something.
For this evening, I had worn a saree, which I had earlier chosen for Narak Chaturdashi. But as it was less bling-y, I had to purchase a new one. I was too excited to try this saree out. After the Bhaubeej ritual, we went to one of the malls there, and had a light supper at the McDonald's. The evening was lovely!
