This particular photo was from the second day of shoot. The call-time was as early as 5:30 a.m. and we needed some time to get energised. This one's from a jogger's park in Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
The actor had a little mark on his upper cheek, so I just had to conceal that, and dab some compact powder to brighten the face.
The characters were college-going students, so I did not play with bags and footwear, and just gave the actress two pairs of flip-flops in the entire song.
I'm sharing few stills and few outfits from the shoot:
Also, the director's requirement was only pastel coloured outfits. So, even in dark shades, I had to use pastel type of dark shades, for example, a dark grey. Only once in the song we've used black shirt for the guy to show extreme depression, where he's crying in the rain.
So finally, here's sharing the music video:

PACKAGING
I didn't quite like the way the compact looks. It is a simple white with cheap texture, making it appear as though it is a breakable plastic. I did like the way 'Maybelline New York' is written on it, though.
APPLICATION
At first, when I had tried applying the powder, it was difficult. The powder would not stick to the puff. I had to press the puff and then apply. Initially I did not see any difference on my skin. But now, everything is good--the application and the visibility of powder on face.
FRESHNESS AND FEEL
The powder makes you feel fresh, thus holding back the secretion of oil. The feel is soft and feather-like.
- The price is reasonable
- Feels fresh
CONS
- Packaging could have been better
CONCLUSION
Buy it.

I have come across many people who know very few things about their own self. They have little knowledge of who they are, what they want to be, or their opinions on general issues that happen around the world.
In order to get to know yourself better, I have written down 30 questions. Download the printable worksheet that has three pages and try to answer all the questions. You'll be stunned to know the result. Take as much time as you want and do keep it private. Write down just whatever you feel like.
You can answer these after every year and you'll see how certain dreams have changed and how opinions on certain issues remain the same.

My best friend's birthday is on the 12th of July, and I'm badly hoping she doesn't go through my blog before her day. I thought of sharing a greeting card I made, which me and few other best friends are gonna gift her. It's a surprise; I guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed, hoping she doesn't see her card before her birthday.
So, she's studying architecture, final year. She is the most motivated girl I've ever come across; she's career-oriented, hardworking, and just knows what she's got to do in life. It's great to have a best friend like her, as we highly relate in this aspect of our lives.
Here's sharing things and steps you'll need to make a card out of two tinted sheets. I have also uploaded a video of the final product, so do take a look:
- Green Marker
- Silver Pen
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Glue
- Pair of Scissors
- Washi Tape
- Yellow (Tinted) Sheet
- Grey (Tinted) Sheet x 2
STEPS
1. Fold yellow and grey sheets into half.
2. Stick the left side of the grey sheet on the right side of the yellow. (Refer the picture above.)
3. Take another grey sheet and fold it into half. Cut it along the fold.
4. Paste one of the halves in the inner side to cover the yellow colour.
5. Write whatever you want and decorate the first page. I have used silver coloured washi tapes and have written the message using a green bold marker. I have highlighted the letters using a silver pen. I purposely used a silver colour, because I wanted to create a harmony with the silver washi tape and the overall grey layout of the card.
6. After opening the flaps, stick washi tapes to the sides of the card.
7. Write the message on left side of the card. (You can skip this step if you have less content.)
8. Write a message on the right side too. If you noticed, I have used a different washi tape here, just to bring about a differentiation in the messages of the two sides of the card.
9. Write the main message here. Make sure to make it dramatic and you're done with the card! (I'm thinking of adding some glitters to this message, but I do not have silver glitter as of now.)
Also, I'm sharing a video of how the card looks.

I was stunned when my neighbours told me they didn't know we could make a pizza at home. So, if you're one of those who don't know that we could make a pizza at home, here's my recipe of a fully loaded pizza.
INGREDIENTS
- Pizza Base
- Onions
- Mushrooms
- Cheese Cubes or Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
- Butter
- Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese)
- Oregano
- Chilli Flakes
- Capsicum
- Tomato
- Pizza Sauce (Recipe here)
- Salt
- Red Chilli Powder
- Pav Bhaji Masala
STEPS
- Make Pizza Sauce and keep aside.
- Chop onions, capsicum, tomatoes, and mushrooms finely.
- In a vessel, add butter, followed by the above chopped vegetables.
- Add salt, red chilli powder, and pav bhaji masala.
- Once the toppings are fried, add the finely chopped paneer cubes.
- Take a pizza base and apply butter on both the sides.
- Spread pizza sauce on one side.
- Sprinkle toppings over the pizza base. (Remember, it is a fully loaded pizza, so toppings should be put in greater quantity than usual.)
- Grate cheese on top.
- Sprinkle oregano and chilli flakes.
- On a pan, keep the prepared base, and cover the pizza using a bowl or a dish that has broad edges.
- After a minute or two, remove the lid and check for the base. Once you see the base roasted, turn off the gas and hog on that delicious piece of pizza!

A college-mate asked me tips on everyday makeup, as in how to apply makeup and the essentials. So here I'm sharing those basic necessities every beginner must own in order to step into the world of makeup:
BB CREAM OR CC CREAM
No matter what your skin complexion is, you must, must own a BB or a CC Cream. This cream moisturises, protects from sun, conceals spots (to an extent), and evens out skin tone, making it look gorgeous. Ditch the foundation and get one of such creams.
I have tried SeaSoul HD Finish CC Cream, Faces Correct and Care Cream, and the Maybelline BB Cream; out of those, I liked SeaSoul the most.
COMPACT POWDER
In order to let go off the oiliness on your face, dab some compact powder. Use a powder that has an SPF, so that you don't need a sunscreen. Compact powder is basically a tinted talcum powder, you can say. Of course, it has that 'cosmetics' kind of feel.
I've used the Lakme Radiance Compact, Streetwear Perfection Neutral, and the Maybelline White Superfresh. I loved the Maybelline one the most.
LIQUID EYELINER
If you're not getting the perfect line, it's time to ditch your old kajal pencil. Get a pen-styled waterproof liquid eyeliner and try that good ol' winged eyeliner. Such pens are beauty. I recommend the Hilary Rhoda Eyeliner Pen. Though I have not used it, my best friend has, and it looks perfect.
BASIC LIPSTICK
You obviously cannot wear reds or pinks everyday. Therefore, get a matte lipstick in nudes, baby pinks, or light browns. The idea is to just get an even tone on your lips.
TINTED LIP BALM
If you're not a lipstick-girl yet, purchase a tinted lip balm like the famous Maybelline Baby Lips. You can put it on your lips and look just darling as ever!
MASCARA (OPTIONAL)
If your eyelashes are thin and scarce, get a volume-boosting mascara. This is optional, as according to me, mascara is not really for the beginners (as in, not really needed). But, if you're ready to put in more money, go ahead and buy one. I have the Maybelline Waterproof Volum' Express Mascara and it does the job nicely.
What do you recommend for the beginners?

I've been reading books one after the other. While I was discussing with a classmate, I realised how fun reading can be, if you do more, which will result in getting more. Every day, I have a conversation with someone or the other, related to the books and it only gets interesting. As I'm pursuing a postgraduate degree in journalism, I have many #booknerds in my class. It's fascinating to be around them and get into a talk about the same.
I thought to write on this particular trick my classmate Mansha uses. It's so adorable, you'd definitely want to try! She's currently reading Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell and the book is 1000+ pages wide. While I was reading the synopsis of the book, I noticed there were many things inside her book, which appeared as though they were bookmarks. I asked her why she had so many bookmarks and that's when I learnt this trick.
Every time she comes across an activity or a moment while reading, she keeps records of them on the page she is on. For instance, if she's eating a chocolate while reading page number 202, she'll keep its wrapper on that page. I saw things like railway tickets, a Cadbury chocolate's wrapper, a bus ticket, and many such things. I asked her the reason and she said that it was something she did; she safeguards the memories and moments while reading a book. How wonderful!
In her wide book, you'd find so many things that look classic, timeless, and mesmerising. I would definitely do this as I'm a memory hoarder too.
I also have one more way, which I'll be sharing soon. Happy reading, until then, and do tell me in the comments below about your relationship with the books you read.

My goals for July 2016:
FINISHING THE BOOK I'M READING
I'm done reading the book 'The Help' by Kathryn Stockett and the next to read is 'The God Of Small Things' by Arundhati Roy. I've already finished reading 13 pages and so far the story is interesting. I am planning to finish all the 340 pages in this month.
MAKEUP REVIEWS
I had told you in my June favourites about my makeup haul. So one by one, I'll review the items I've purchased and present them to you guys.
COLLABORATIONS
I'm looking forward to collaborating with more companies and getting the best deals for you guys. As you know, I always give honest reviews; I'm definitely excited for this.
BEST FRIEND'S BIRTHDAY
It's my best friend Mrudula's birthday and like every year, we are planning on some interesting activity, which will of course be monsoon-related.
MONSOON TRIPS
We might go on a trip (or a trek) with Mrudula and other best friends from the group. Also, as my dad is returning, we'll go on a short family monsoon trip too. I love travelling!
HEALTH AND FITNESS
I must, must look after my fitness, and exercise! I've been feeling fat lately and it sucks. I'm being a terrible eater and lounge all day with no physical activity whatsoever.
What are your goals for July 2016?
